The Arab League convened on Sunday and finally justified their existence by doing something useful— ban Libyan State TV. Libyan State TV has proven a powerful psychological weapon for the Gaddafi regime and has been targeted by several vigilante attempts to get it off the air.
This Arab League vote will ban the channel from all Arab-owned satellites such as ArabSat and PanSat. Though Libyan State TV will still be viewable via analog TV, the majority of Libyans do not own one and watch it on satellite TV. Al Jazeera mubasher confirms the news
